These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Chartissimo LLC, a California limited liability company ("Chartissimo," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Chartissimo platform at chartissimo.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Chartissimo is an AI-powered chart styling platform. You paste spreadsheet data, choose from over 200 preset visual styles (or create your own custom style), and generate professionally styled chart images that you can download as PNG files. The platform uses AI to apply artistic style transfer to chart geometry.
To use Chartissimo, you must sign in with a Google account via OAuth. By signing in, you represent that:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.
Chartissimo uses a credit-based system. Each chart generation (creating a new styled chart, rerolling a style, or remixing) costs 1 credit. Certain actions are always free regardless of your plan: downloading existing charts, relabeling, applying brand colors (retinting), browsing styles, and previewing chart geometry.
We offer the following plans:
Annual billing is available for subscription plans at a 20% discount. All prices are in US dollars.
Subscription plans (Lite, Solo, Max) automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel. Credits are granted at the start of each billing period. Unused credits roll over up to your plan's cap. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period -- you keep access to your remaining credits until then. There are no cancellation penalties or fees.
If your credits reach zero and you do not have an active subscription, your account enters a 90-day grace period. During this time, you can still download, relabel, and retint your existing charts. You cannot generate new charts until you purchase more credits.

When you paste spreadsheet data into Chartissimo, that data is processed on our servers to generate chart geometry (the shapes, axes, and layout of your chart). Your actual data values are never sent to any AI provider or third-party service. Only the chart geometry image -- which contains shapes and visual elements but not your underlying numbers -- is sent to AI providers for style transfer.
We use your data solely to provide the Service. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service (for example, processing payments through Stripe). For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
You retain all rights to the data you paste into Chartissimo and to the styled chart images you generate. You may use your generated charts for any lawful purpose -- commercial, personal, or otherwise -- without restriction or attribution.
You may create custom style prompts (text descriptions that guide the AI styling). You own the text of your custom prompts. We may use anonymized, aggregated prompt patterns to improve the Service, but we will not publish or share your individual prompts.
Chartissimo retains all rights to the platform, including but not limited to: the software, preset style library, AI models and pipelines, user interface, brand assets, documentation, and all related intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our platform beyond the limited license to use the Service as described here.
If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.

Chartissimo integrates with third-party services to provide the Service, including:
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for any third-party service's availability, accuracy, or practices.
Chartissimo is an early-stage product. We do our best to keep the Service running smoothly, but we do not offer any uptime guarantees or service level agreements (SLAs). The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We will try to give advance notice when possible, but cannot guarantee it.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
AI-generated styling may produce unexpected or imperfect results. We do not guarantee that generated images will meet any particular standard of quality or accuracy.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHARTISSIMO LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CHARTISSIMO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chartissimo LLC and its officers, directors, members, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third party's rights.
You may stop using the Service at any time by canceling your subscription (if applicable) and ceasing to access the platform. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 6, 10, 11, 12, and 15.
Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to contact us at team@chartissimo.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Chartissimo agree to resolve any claims through binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will take place in the State of California. You and Chartissimo each waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chartissimo regarding the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
